Even mine is EB2 with level II. I did not see a single case from my company with Level III or Level IV but still a lot of them are EB2.
My 140 approval says: Mem of Profession w/Adv Deg, or Exceptional ability Sec 203 (b) (2).

I agree 100% with you. If you do not get your GC approved before those 25+ million people get in the line ahead of you. Remember they will have to send those 25 million names for namecheck and the government will do theirs before everybody else's.

what makes you think people participate in those? from personal experience
in the MN chapter, it's hard to even get replies to e mails, forget meetings etc. of late though i'm glad to say the MN chapter has really beugun to pick up again.
ask the tri state guys how much effort they put locally- meetings- fliers- phone calls, all by a handful of volunteers. so all this is good in theory and yes it takes time. but the apathy (even hostility) that was encountered was frightening. ask chanduv23 someday what the tri state guys went through...

Even I have seen people at my client sites, filing 2-3 years after me get labors and I-140s, do a little 'I am going out to better job' dance and move on, while I have to turn down offers (with 30-40K salary increments !!)

its probably a better investment to get a Masters degree in your specific area than an MBA. Of course then you get pigeon holed in your specific area
I agree: the MBA gives you perspective on strategic management and is useful in every field. But if it is not from the very very best schools, I would go for an MS in your own field. An MS from Univ of Arizona is almost as good as an MS from Berkeley when it comes to propelling your career. But an MBA from Berkekely is a different story. Of course, it is very hard to get into those top schools.

USCIS has absolutely no info about labor till the employer files a I-140 with a certified copy of LC. I would seriously doubt if that's the case, unless your old employer filed the I-140 using the 2004 labor and the I-140 was approved.
For your own good, you should get things corrected....the short term excitement may lead to more trouble later...just my 2 cents.
No its I-485 I just cut and pasted the two emails I received, first at 10am then the second at 3 pm check online and the system had same messages. If its true I am having a party wow man thanks I did come to US in 1997. I do have a labor which was approved under RIR PD date 2004 but the employer refused to file I-140. this is the first time i heard details about this bill even though he has been talking about it after meeting Bush. the news article thread has the analysis i found from an anti immigration group site. AILA has posted it as their news today however they have not yet posted the summary of the bill. The question is which one of the 3 --SKIL bill, CIR or Pence will be really voted and which ones will be put in the backburner for future or silent demise!
In any case, Pence is one of the co-sponsors of the SKIL bill in the house.So I dont really think his bill would exclude us.The point is at least one of those bills should progress from where they are right now .. ANY bill.

In this case, company B files for a new H1B petition in his name and instead of being able to start working as soon as the receipt number is received (AC21), Mr.X needs to wait for the application to be approved by USCIS. This can take anywhere from 2 weeks if done with premium processing to up to who knows how long depending on his case.
Keep in mind, that no matter what, you will not be able to work before Oct 1.
I would highly encourage you to ask an attorney for advice because this is a very important decision and you should not guide yourself by postings. I can only tell you what I have been informed and what I have researched, but I am not sure how it applies in your case.

I have been to the indian consulate couple of times and what I have seen so far is that people staying in the US take the consulate officers for granted.
People take the token and start filling up the form in the consulate itself, they will be at the window and will be pasting photograph or filling up the form itself on the counter.
I think the consulate officer should ask people that will you behave the same way at an US consulate??
People become impatient just waiting for 10 minutes as if they entire indian consulate has been waiting for them to show up at the office.
The way we Indians behave boarding a flight in US, the same does not happen in India. The way we behave with the consulate officers at Indian consulate does not happen at the US consulate. Why do not the same people trying filling up the form at the US consulate or try pasting photograph and even run to grab the original when they are at an US consulate.
We want the same level of professional at the Indian consulate then we need to show the same level of professional at Indian consulate that we show at US consulates.

Interesting observations Deepak. Issues are not very simple and are very deeply rooted to even think about changing them. To begin with there are tooooooooo many mouths to feed and people still dont realize the importance of population control:(:( Whe demand heavily outweighs available resourses then competition increases (basic to Darwinism). Primal instincts of survival come into play and behavioural modifications visible in the western nation are easily wiped off. Generally people have a desire that things be in an order but unfortunately due to the population stress prevailing in India, "disorder, corruption, favoritism" are the "order".
Will your generation be able to see this change? Possibly not?
Introduce the same stressors in the west and you will notice the same habbits surface here too. Natures way of dealing I guess??
One thing is for sure; If you practice non-violence in thought and action then chances are that your surroundings will ultimately reflect that same back to you. The way you react is most important than what the surroundings actually are. :D:D:D:D:D
