You need to get a copy of 140, so you may have to tell your employer about your AC21 (actually no need if you have a copy of approved 140). Nothing to get scared of. But its good to leave in good terms.

Once you start using EAD your H1 will get cancelled anyway. So it wont make any difference if your old employer cancels it.

Can i cancel appoinment one day before.
I saw in www.vfs-usa.co.in website ,have to cancel before two working days of appointment day.
If i cancel appointmentafter few days will i have to fill again DS156,157 forms for appointment.
In website they said cant cancel appointment 2 times.After 2 times cancelation have to wait 90 days with that hdfc barcode.
Before 90 days period can we fix new appoinment by paying agian into HDFC bank.Is this possible new appointment with new barcode.

On November 27, the USCIS announced that they had received 58,900 H-1B petitions toward the 65,000 cap. So there are 6,100 numbers remaining, correct? (Update: By December 4, the USCIS had received 61,100 H-1B petitions toward the 65,000 cap.) Not exactly. We have Free Trade Agreements with both Singapore and Chile which set aside 6,800 "H-1B1" numbers for nationals of those countries. Do the math: 65,000 minus 6,800 equals 58,200. Hi,

Apologize for starting new thread, but this is an urgent request and need attention.

I need to respond to a RFE related to proving Programmer Analyst being a Speciaity occupation.

I researched and found a memo from Terrance Way, Director INS issued a memo on this on December 22, 2000 and is available on AILA Infonet

AILA InfoNet at Doc. No. 01040603

I couldnt locate this memo in USCIS policy guidance memoranda search.

Can some one with access to AILA Infonet, please send me this document

We filed two different I485s. One me as Primary, for which I have not received any receipt which reached on July 17th. Another from my husbands employer, me as beneficiary which reached on Aug 13th. We got receipt and FP Notice for one which was applied through my husband's employer. Confusion is that in my receipt notice the Alien Number is different from what I received on my I140 Approval Notice. Is it of any concern? Finally will my husband be able to get EAD from my application?

Appreciate any views or opinions!

Please explain how you have worked in Illinios for XYZ company( my GC sponsoring Company) living in MN,WA and TX.

The above description is the one line RFE that I got. I don't have more details to give. I guess am like any other consultant who works in different states( Most of them).

My 140 is approved in Dec 2007. I had 1st RFE on I-485 and submitted the same in Dec 2009. for pay stubs and other things. This is the second RFE. I will consult good attorney. Any advise is helpful.

Also I entered US on AP and I started my own company few months back. I am still working for GC sponsoring company. If by my bad luck my 485 gets denied..what are my options? Also I have my H1 petition valid till May 2012 but I don't have it stamped. Do I need to leave the country and get it stamped?

Hi

I have filed 140 /485 concurrent on Aug 3rd and haven't received any receipt. Have opened SR , Sent FAX ..but no updates.

As per the nrew rule implemented on July 16th , All the previously approved labor will expire on Jan 12 2008.

If for any reason we don;t receive receipt , what happens to labor.. Are we back to square one ..

If anybody in simiar situation... Please reply.
